National Margarita Day or National Margarita Week? 7 Margaritas in 7 days
Alright — National Margarita Day is Sunday, Feb 22nd… and I refuse to let it be a “one margarita and done” situation.
So we’re doing it properly: National Margarita Week. Seven days. Seven margaritas. Seven totally different vibes — from bright and classic to spicy, frozen, tropical, herbal, and a legit zero-proof opener that still feels like a real drink.
I’m Shane. I build cocktail mixers, craft syrups, sparkling soda mixers, and soda BIBs because I want it to be ridiculously easy for you to make drinks that taste like a great bar — whether you're hosting friends in your kitchen or serving 500 guests at an event.
Below are seven margarita recipes — one for each day of Margarita Week. And when a batching version is available, I included it. Because if you're serving more than a few people, batching is your best friend.

Shane’s Margarita Week setup: Keep everything cold. Salt intentionally. Pick two signature margs and stick with them if you're hosting. If you’re running service, batch the high-volume days and keep the specialty ones for when you’ve got time to flex.
Day 1 · Sunday, Feb 22nd — Xanadu (Zero Proof)
Zero-proof mezcal alternative · herbal · bright citrus
We’re kicking off Margarita Week with inclusion. This zero-proof mezcal alternative cocktail brings brightness, citrus, and depth without the alcohol. It’s not a “mocktail.” It’s just a great drink — period.
Pick two “default” margaritas for your week: one classic (Fresh Lime is the move) and one wildcard (Spicy, Passion Fruit, Frozen Prickly Pear—dealer’s choice). Keep everything cold, don’t overthink garnishes, and remember: a good margarita is about balance, not sugar.
Hosting at home?
Batch one pitcher, set out ice + citrus wedges, and let people self-serve. You get to hang out instead of bartend.
Running service?
Batch the high-volume recipes, keep one “feature” margarita for moments you can flex, and build speed with a tight garnish plan.
National Margarita Week: seven margaritas for seven days—classic, spicy, tropical, frozen, herbal, and zero proof.
