The Butterfly Effect is an elevated, aromatic batch — vodka, Lillet Blanc, Chareau Aloe Liqueur, and Top Hat Lemonade Concentrate, carbonated on CO₂ and finished with a 1 oz Butterfly Truth Serum float at service. Complex, floral, and visually stunning when the indigo shifts to purple-pink in the glass.
Lillet Blanc brings the floral, slightly bitter aperitif depth. Chareau Aloe Liqueur adds a clean, herbaceous aloe sweetness that bridges the citrus and floral notes. The Lemonade Concentrate holds the sour balance at scale. The Butterfly Truth Serum float is the payoff — the color-change moment completes the experience.
Batch Method
- Add 5 liters Vodka to a clean 5-gallon Cornelius keg.
- Add 2 × 750 ml Lillet Blanc.
- Add 750 ml Chareau Aloe Liqueur.
- Add 4 qts Top Hat Lemonade Concentrate.
- Add 8 qts cold filtered water.
- Seal the keg and shake vigorously side to side for 2 full minutes.
- Carbonate with CO₂. See instructions below.
- Refrigerate minimum 12 hours before first service.
- Pour ~6 oz over ice into each glass. Garnish with sliced or dehydrated lemon.
- Float 1 oz Butterfly Truth Serum over the back of a bar spoon onto each pour at service — watch the color shift.
- Reshake twice daily to re-integrate ingredients.
Pro move: The Lemonade Concentrate is doing double duty here — it's the sour balance AND the pH trigger for the color-change reaction. Don't reduce the ratio. Float the Butterfly Truth Serum slowly over the back of a bar spoon so guests see the full indigo to purple-pink shift before their first sip. Dehydrated lemon wheel is the garnish of choice — it looks as premium as the pour.
- Insert charging stone lid at 45° and spin to align seal. Clamp firmly closed.
- Set CO₂ regulator to 20–25 psi.
- Connect gray/silver Cornelius connector to center plug of charging stone lid.
- Pull up pressure release ring 30 times quickly. Release between each pull.
- Refrigerate 24 hours. Cold liquid absorbs carbonation better.
- Once cold: pull pressure release ring 30 more times.
- Test flow. Reduce to 15 psi if foamy. Maintain 20–25 psi without foam.
