The Ghostbuster is a Halloween crowd-pleaser built for 5-gallon keg service — neon green from the Midori, bright and tart from Top Hat Lemonade Concentrate, and finished with an optional grenadine float for a blood-red effect that sells itself at the bar.
One of the best seasonal event batches in the lineup. The Midori gives you instant visual impact — neon green in the keg, neon green in the glass. The grenadine float is optional but adds a blood-red layered effect that gets people talking. Serve it and watch the bar line form.
Batch Method
- Add 4 liters Vodka to a clean 5-gallon Cornelius keg.
- Add 3 × 750 ml Midori or melon liqueur.
- Add 3 qts Top Hat Lemonade Concentrate.
- Add 32 oz lemon juice if using.
- Add 9 qts cold filtered water.
- Seal the keg and shake vigorously side to side for 2 full minutes.
- Pressurize with N₂. See instructions below.
- Refrigerate minimum 12 hours before first service.
- Serve ~6 oz over ice. Add a grenadine float at service for the blood effect. Garnish and serve.
- Reshake twice daily to re-integrate ingredients.
Pro move: Do the grenadine float at service — add a slow drizzle over the back of a spoon into each poured glass so it sinks into the green for the layered blood-red effect. Don't add it to the keg or it muddies the color. The visual is everything with this batch.
- Seal the keg and shake vigorously side to side for 2 full minutes.
- Connect gray/silver Cornelius "gas in" connector to GAS IN plug on keg lid.
- Set N₂ regulator to 12–15 psi.
- Pull up pressure release ring 3 times quickly to cycle gas through keg.
- Test flow. Reduce to 10–12 psi if pouring too fast.
- Reshake twice daily before service to re-integrate all ingredients.
