The Butterfly Mule is a Moscow Mule built with Top Hat Craft Ginger Beer and finished with a Butterfly Truth Serum float — a butterfly pea flower tea concentrate that turns the top of the drink indigo blue, then shifts to violet and pink as the citrus works through it. The color change happens in the glass. The Mule underneath is crisp, spicy, and clean.

Switch between 7.5oz canned ginger beer (or soda gun) and ginger beer syrup + soda maker.
The short version:
Butterfly pea flower extract is naturally blue-purple. It shifts to violet and pink the moment citrus hits it. Float it on top of the Mule last — don't stir. The color blooms through the drink as the guest sips. Add lime juice to amplify the effect.
Method
- Add 1.5 oz Vodka to a copper mug or highball glass.
- Fill the glass completely with ice.
- Pour 5–6 oz Craft Ginger Beer slowly down the side of the glass (can or soda gun).
- Add .25 oz fresh lime juice if desired.
- Float 1 oz Butterfly Truth Serum over the back of a spoon so it rests on top.
- Do not stir — let the color shift happen as the drink is enjoyed.
- Garnish with sliced lime and fresh mint.
Pro move: Add the lime juice before the float — it amplifies the color shift. The more citrus, the more dramatic the transition from indigo blue to violet and pink.
